I've just noticed that I really do not like my background on my blog.
Can anyone suggest anything better? Different pattern? No Pattern? Different colour?

Re: Background
Hey Alex,
I never noticed your background... I think it's ok, but staring at it for more than five seconds makes my head spin :: optical illusion phenomenon. I suggest either a solid color, or neat yet simple pattern. If you need some ideas, check out some of the ones they offer at WordPress. You can probably *save background* and upload the image to your site. You can also try messing with color blending in Photoshop to get a watercolor effect. I have seen that sort of background :: looks really nice. Good luck, SWagner

Re: Background
I think a solid colour might be the way to go.
Off-white perhaps?

Re: Background
Thought that was an advert site then! ha.
All those backgrounds make me puke to be honest They're from the 90's. I've decided to go with a solid colour, just let me FTP my css now. Tell me what you think

Re: Background
Looks good. However, I would make it a bit darker so that the white color of the content stands out more.
PS: Check your links :: a few of them do not work... (404)

Re: Background
Yes will do that.
Which links? The only one that shouldn't work is the affiliates one.

Re: Background
The two "About" links. Also, your 404 ErrorDocument seems to be missing :: create one or make sure the .htaccess file points to it correctly. The location should be (example): /www/alexgeek/error.html (local source - FTP), not http://www.alexgeek.co.uk/error.html since http addresses are not supported in .htaccess files.

Fixed, removed the Affiliates link until I do that page.

Re: Background
Yup :: links work. But your 404 ErrorDocument is still problematic... Check the .htaccess file.
Cheers

Re: Background
I haven't specified one.
I will soon. Anyway I've made it slightly darker again!
