Flash Text in Dreamweaver

Hi guys!
I have run into a sticky problem that seems very small, but it's driving me crazy!!
I am designing my web page with flash text. The flash states "birth announcement" and links to a flash.swf. When it pulls up in the browser it is stretched!!! It is normal size when I open it in the Flash Maker software.

I think this is controlled under parameters, but I just can't figure it out. It seems so simple that it's making me feel really stupid!!:annoyed:

Re: Flash Text in Dreamweaver

Can you post a link to this so I can take a look?

Your issue could be 1 of 2 things, and I'm not sure which by your explanation. :-)

Re: Flash Text in Dreamweaver

I think it's the size parameter in the embed code....so the size hasn't been set....

The file is located here...

file:///c:/Nvites/post%20cards.html

after you open it under internet explorer, click on the word "house warming party" in the middle of the web page.

Thanks & hope this helps!!

Try Freewebs or something... any server you have access to on the Internet. Maybe even some blog, sometimes that works, too.

Re: Flash Text in Dreamweaver

Hi again guys!

Ok, I tried Freewebs.com but they are down for maintenance a bit today, so I will try to upload the site later.

In the meantime, maybe if I explain the problem more clearly (It's a new day, so I'm not frustrated!)

1.) I have a website.
2.) I have a Flash Text on this website.
3.) This Flash Text links to a SWF file.
4.) Currently, when I click on the Flash Text link to open the SWF file, the movie opens in a web browser and appears "stretched".
5.) I have checked the size properties in the Flash Maker software, and the size is correct.
6.) How do I correct this problem?

****If this makes better sense to anyone, please respond.

Thanks-a-bunch!!
Paula

Re: Flash Text in Dreamweaver

My Flash maker software is a WYSIWYG. I am currently using the designer mode in Dreamweaver. (I'm not very good at html, especially Flash!)
