colour picker (firefox)

Anyone know of a FF extension that allows you to use an eye dropper tool on anything in your browser.
Like in photoshop, the little pipette you use to choose colours.
I'm constantly seeing colours that I want to know the hex value of,
usually i have to print screen and paste it into photoshop to get the values.
If I knew how to code FF extensions I'd do it myself!

Re: colour picker (firefox)

I tried to use the extension that I mention before...

When I install them, there is a duplication of the bookmark icon and the home, print and the option icon in my tab.

Thanks.
Firebug is a BRILLIANT tool if you havnt already come across it yet.
It allows you to see the source code of every file in a website - better than that you can actually edit any site live as you view it.
The changes are not permanent but can be copied and pasted - this is an absolute lifesaver if you do a lot of forum/CMS/OS skinning.

To let you see the power of little thing I suggest installing it, browsing to a forum, open the program (Tools, Firebug, Open Firebug) then see how long it takes you to find (and edit) those hard to find pieces of CSS etc.

Blummin marvelous.

EDIT -
Once opened click the 'inspect' option then click on any part of a site - this gives you all the HTML, CSS, XML etc for the part of the site you click on.
Then double click on any piece of code (within Firebug) and edit.

Re: colour picker (firefox)

To get firebug to automatically copy the colour hex to the clipboard:
{right click} - > options - > auto copy - > enabled.
