First preloader attempt

I have already created the site, using multiple scenes.
Can you have a preloader on a seperate scene, and have it called in when needed?
I am not much educated on preloaders. I am looking at all the tutorials posted.
Apparently usually it appears the preloader is on the same scene/timeline as the presentation.
Can I put it on a different scene?or is it too much hassle?
any tutorials for this method?

thanks.

Re: First preloader attempt

I think it might be better to have all the scenes saved as separate files and load them into your one file.
just a suggestion

Re: First preloader attempt

The technique is called loading external .swfs. Search the forums for it, we've posted many examples and solutions over the past few months.

Re: First preloader attempt

Simple question, I think i know the answer.
I have a fla with 5 scenes.
In order to get the scenes in separate swfs do i open a scene and delete the others ans save as.
then do the same for all scenes?
Or is there a way to do it without deleting the scenes.

Re: First preloader attempt

That'd be the easiest way to do it, once you have that done. We'll walk you through now to load in external .swfs into a main timeline.

Cheers,

Scott
