Editable websites
Hi
Could someone please point me in the right direction. I have done a course in Dreamweaver and have done a few basic websites (I did ours, link below). I want to learn how to do editable websites so i basically build and upload and the client can change things themselves. Can this be done in Dreamweaver or is something like joomla better and do i need to learn/know about php and MySQL which i have tried to understand but have got hopelessly lost! I have no idea where to start or what to do, any info would be much appreciated Cheers...Stu http://www.kmcreative.co.uk/ |

Re: Editable websites
Do you mean like it is done on WikiPedia (where anyone can edit an article?)

Re: Editable websites
Hi
I just want the client to be able to edit... so they would login with a username and password so they can delete/add and change info and add images etc Cheers |

Re: Editable websites
Something like Joomla is better. But there are others ... maybe more simple CMS's out there for you like Wordpress.
October's FAQ of our newsletter, Creative Coding, will touch on this. |

Re: Editable websites
If you make templates in Dreamweaver, you can set it so the only editable region is the text.
The client could get Adobe Contribute for $150 and then update their text. |
