Need a list of Web Development organisations

CAn anyone tell me where i can find an extensive list of most major web development companies (mainly U.K) i cant seem to find one place that list's a large number of them.

Dmoz directory will probably have a big list.
I may be wrong.

Try Googling it. Chances are if they are big companies they can afford the SEO to be on the first page. Remember however that Google will most likely return the most relevant results for the country you are in, so you will have to adjust your search to look for pages from around the world using the "advanced search" option.

Are you looking for Professional organizations to join or actual Web Development businesses?
Start with professional journals for either. Here in the states http://www.gag.org the Graphic Artists Guild has a set of professional standards for print and media designers and developers.
