Thumbs up Photoshop CS2 or CS3?

Hi,
I have been using Fireworks for years now, right throughout Univeristy aswell,
Would anyone reccomend either photoshop CS2 or CS3 as I have never really looked into it?
Also where would be the best place to get hold of it?

Thanks

Re: Photoshop CS2 or CS3?

I would definitely recommend Photoshop. Although, I have heard of others using just Fireworks and if it does the job for you then why change?

I think photoshop is more of a all-round program - but for Web Graphics only again i have heard that Fireworks is a big player. The only thing is...is Fireworks discontinued now Adobe and Macromedia have merged? Surely they aren't running FW, PS, Illustrator and Freehand all in one package?

I'm awaiting my copy of CS3 so at the moment can only say from experience that CS2 is excellent. If you decide to shoot for CS3 then you can get student editions (if your still a student) for knock-down prices from adobe and from other student software retailers.

Apparently it is somewhat or barely legal in the US. http://www.1st-free-music-download.c...e-sharing.html

Re: Photoshop CS2 or CS3?

Allow me to clear this up right now. P2P is not illegal! Although, uploading P2P software that's copyrighted is illegal. Funny though, downloading such copyrighted material from a P2P network is not illegal. Although, should you choose to install the software, that would be illegal. As of now, there is a bill going though congress that will outlaw the attempted, even a failed attempt at downloading copyrighted material...such as photoshop. In short, you don't have a license for that copy of photoshop, and therefore you are in violation of Adobe's terms and conditions.

Since this is a thread talking about illegal activity which Webforumz does not condone nor support, this thread has been closed. Any other comments regrading this should be sent directly to me via private message.
