Hi all!
could you check out my new website portfolio design and tell me what you all think!
Recommendations would be great!

I have only created the Front Page as yet, I just wanted some feedback before I went ahead, I am currently using a free web hosting and domain name just to test out the website.

CF DesigNz

Thanks
Cracka

Re: CF DesigNz

Whoops!
I have just noticed the images at the bottom are getting covered by the footer in Firefox!
Will have to modify that!

Re: CF DesigNz

Whoops!

You have a little space between the navigation and the content as well in FF.
Overall I like the site. You will need to work on the text. Think of text that will set you apart from other companies. Use terms that non-web people can understand.

Really nice start!

Re: CF DesigNz

That little white space between the navigation and content was purposely done! aha!

Do you think it would look better with no spaces?

Thanks

Re: CF DesigNz

hahaha! Well you got me!

I'd try it without and see. If I thought it was an error, I wonder how many other people will?

Re: CF DesigNz

I recommend you sharpen up the quality on the images at the bottom of the page.

Overall: Nice start - 7/10

EDIT:- I recommend you fix the validation errors!

Re: CF DesigNz

Clean enough

But, is a person an auto mechanic when they've only read about repair cars?

Serious, a web designer using front page?

And, you do need to get your own domain, not a qwest account.

I don't understand what you mean, sorry please could you explain!?

&&&

I am only using QWEST for now just so I can show my design, then when the website is complete, then I will get a proper domain name and proper hosting company!

Re: CF DesigNz

I like it, looks very good.

The only thing I would change is to put a wrapper around the lot and then position it in the center of the browser. (for some reason on my screen it is just slightly indented from the left)

Re: CF DesigNz

It's almost got the web 2.0 look!
In a good way.
I like it very much.
How come it's more to the left than right rather than centered?

Re: CF DesigNz

Because when i made it in photoshop! I made it have the white bits to the side of it! and i am guessin they weren't equal in there!

and then when I sliced the images, the to side must have been different lengths, I am guessing that is what the problem is!

Re: CF DesigNz

Sorry, I was just being sarcastic. You said you were building using Front Page.

Front Page - Web Designer = oxymoron

The header made me think you were selling software, not web design services.
