I think Jacob is talking about the Reseller plans!

Go to www.bluegravity.com for a more realistic look at what your money will get you..Hostgator oversell so much it isn't even funny.

Jacob, I can't believe you're recomending a host that offers 165gb storage and 5tb of bandwidth for $5 a month.....

Re: Servers?

Andrew, as you are sincerely recommending a VPS, can you please post a website up so we can do a Site5 vs Your VPS? I am another site5 customer and they are awesome!

I tell you what, go to another webhosting forum, nothing against this forum but i'm talking a hosting forum that only deals with that topic and see what they say.

I'm not against shared/reseller packages but come on, they're recomending a company that offer the earth for peanuts.

What on earth would that acheive? Post a website? Surely both websites would need to be the same? Should my website be database driven? Written entirely in php? How many graphics should i put on it... Are we going to do a download test...

In-fact that is such a dumb sugestion i won't even bother entertaining it!

DUDE! Get over yourself! Even if he got 100 websites he could host them on the site5 plan with no problem.

Now, now. I think you are in this for some sort of profit. Every host I recommend, you shoot down. I have personally tired these hosts and have experienced nothing but great things from them. Godaddy.com is a world class host, and one of the biggest hosts on the market.

As far as site5.com goes, the are the real thing. I would recommend the reseller plan. Site5 has been around for over 7 years, and many members of the staff here use them. Site5 offers a 100% money back guarantee. So you can feel safe, just give them a shot and find out for yourself.

I hate to say this...but it all comes down to this. This guy is trying to get you to go and host a website on his server. Now, let's look at it this way. I have no personal gain in this. I recommend site5 only because I know they are a great host and use them. He on the other hand sent you a PM, telling you that you needed a VPS or a dedicated server, and told you he had one that he would let you use for some sort of money. He has personal gain, and cannot be trusted.

I don't want you to get ripped off, so please just do research and listen to members of the community that have been around for more 30 posts.

Or just give site5 a try, 100% money back guarantee = nothing to lose!

No, I think you just want so easy money! As I said, 100% money back guarantee.

Hmmm, is that fear? We could build a PHP and database site, test load time though PHP...and database speed...etc. You can't judge something you have not tired or know about. Read the FAQ page on site5.

Another thing, i'm quite suprised you actually get any members hittting high post counts when you delete posts that disagree with your choice of host.

Also, you have 14 year olds who program your newsletter telling people to "put up their websites" so that they can test hosting packages! Come on.

I would recommend site5.com. Check out their FAQ page, read about them, do research. Then give them a shot. I would personally recommend their reseller plan.

Re: Servers?

Hmmm...something tells me you have lost this argument and are now trying to have the last word. We're not a bad bunch round here so I'd say just quit on this particular thread and take a look around the forums.

Yes we have younger members on the forum, that happen to be on the newsletter team. I don't see the problem with that. Perhaps we need to talk separately in a mature environment. Send me a PM...huh?

Re: Servers?

Lost what argument? I just said to be recomending a host that so blatently oversells to somebody who wants to get into hosting customers websites is a bit strange. Jacob called Godaddy world class for crying out loud!

He then said i'm related/linked to bluegravity.com who have been around longer than any of the hosts he mentioned and in-fact longer than this forum.

I had a post of mine edited by somebody on another thread because it didn't agree with your mods/editors.

It's a little but much to be honest and leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

It was then suggested that because i've only made 30 posts that my opinion or points don't count!
Nice one!

As Karinne said, Try out the names that you have been given. I have been with several hosts and finally settled with site5.com.

The end decision is the host that you like the best, please let us know if you have any further questions. Good Luck!
