Also ones i would recommend are photoshop, illustrator and Fireworks. I cant remember the other one.

I Would Suggest Using Adobe Illustrator. I Have Used That For My Logos Throughout The Years. So I would Recommend That.

It's best to use a vector program. So Adobe Illustrator or my personal favorite is Xara Extreme Pro.
There is Corel Draw also and I'm sure a google search would bring up others.
