well this is my portfolio. Its an interactive flash site with video's picture and a mini blog. and some funky animation.

Well, some of the flash is nice, BUT, well, you have this entry page that does nothing, when I got to the home page I waited expecting something to happen, then when I moused over a link, something happened, but it had nothing to do with the link. After a while I figured out I was supposed to click on it.

So, in summary, Flash, even if it is good Flash, isn't a subsitute for usability

Nice site. It really shows off your talents and I don't care what anyone else says about the animated links, they are awesome. I just had to roll over each one and there was no disappointment at all - worth every second. Also it's really stylish with the crooked scrollbars on the blog. I think one thing to improve is the userface. Maybe add some cool jagged, waterpaper (like the link text) lines instead of just the solid 1px black lines for the content area..some random jaggedness around the borders would really add to the look. Overall, awesome site.

The rollover effects for websites, photography, film etc. are amazing.
did you do them yourself?

All the content is mine including code. this is only my 3rd serious attempt at full flash websites.
I've played around with flash a fair bit. bit of hobby. I'm now a flash/webdesigner. but i did this while i was at uni.

Yes, usability isn't great, but I don't care in this instance. As an experimental piece of work that you did at uni, it's fantastic, I enjoyed browsing through it and seeing what you had created. Nice

Your website is just amazing! Really! All the rollover effects you use on your website are great and the pictures in your "Photography" section are awesome. But it was a little bit difficult to read the text in "About me" section because of the constantly moving text. Nevertheless I liked your website very much!

Awesome Flash! Got no words to express how awesome that is.
Especially extraordinary it looks because of the original navigation scheme, the navigations takes everything and nothing distracts you from it. There is something monumental in this design!

ohh i'm going to put this type of animation on a search engine with about 300 flash slides randomly generatin gwhen you visit the search engine. still making all the slides.

i finally got my portfolio video up and running, finnaly. the free hosting joint would'nt allow me upload more than 6 meg which sorta sucks. so i have move the video to another site and linked it back to my site. easy fix.

Dude... this site is irritating as hell! I just want the content, the flash is kinda nice the first time (although slightly confusing) but after that it pisses me off. The things that move up the screen when you hover over a link have absolutely nothing to do with the link itself and because they only appear when you over over something the main area of the screen is empty 99% of the time. I looked at it doing nothing for ages because I thought it was still loading then I realised I had to do something.

hey, for my first serious try at Flash i'm pretty happy with it. BUT same as you, it need to be usable. so thats why i'm making the new etoxin site.

Make the new etoxin site with absolutely no flash at all. It's a dying technology and just annoys most people.

Why you say that. its only dying cause you don't see it. And you don't see it because it dosen't get indexed in google. Google is the one killing Flash.
