Trouble with form controls. Height, width and all that

I am adding a very simple search form to the navigation of my website, which spreads horizontally. I want the textbox, drop down menu and the submit button to be the same height in any browser.

Heres what i have so far:

http://test.flash-online-games.co.uk/navigation.php

Try it in explorer andit displays fine (ecept the white border around the drop down menu)

Tryit in firefox and it doesn't work at all.

If you want me to post the CSS I have used, i will

Thanks

I think before you worry about the input box, you need to get your page to render properly first.

This is what it looks like in IE6:

Remember to always Test! Test! Test!

Re: Trouble with form controls. Height, width and all that

If anyone is planning onbeing a 'professional' web designer/developer, they should have multiple browsers installed on their computer. It's possible to install a standalone version of IE6 so you can test on the current most popular browser.

Try this http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE

Antoher solution is to have a 2nd, older PC with IE6 on it to use for testing.

While the Multiple-IE progam will do the same but wont let me change the connection settings.
