Blurry jpegs - v. annoying!

I'm doing a site for a client and the jpegs I export from Flash go blurry, especially when diagonal lines are involved. What's the best solution? Is it better to export from Photoshop or as something else?

Thanks in advance.

Flash and Photoshop use 2 different kinds of graphics, if u want perfectly smooth graphics use flash.

I know the differences. Flash uses vector and Photoshop is bitmap. But what I'm saying is that the images I export from Flash as jpeg are very blurry. When they are within the Flash working environment they are perfect.

How/what should I export them as?

They have to be exported as flash if u want to keep it vector, thats the point

Only way around it would be doing a high resolution rasta with a soft stroke and scale it down.

No no. I've resolved the issue. For anybody else who does things in a funny way like this:

you design your images in Flash (a great program for doing this sort of thing in) then export them as PNG then import them into Photoshop and finally export them as a high quality jpeg from within PS.

Nice and sharp, although unfortunately not quite the clarity they appear inside the PS or Flash environment.

You're designing/creating images in Flash?

Yeah, the reason I love Flash so much is that u can do so many things in the one program, including designing images. It's great to have the line tool that snaps to objects and can then be curved so easily. Everything, in fact, is so easy and I like to work on design in Flash and if I need extra effects like shadows etc I'll take it into Photoshop.

I've done a similar thing in the past, there are some features in flash that are very handy indeed.
