Re: Layout problem

Change the order of the code. If you want that left box called "side" to move up to the left of the flash... place it in the code first.
See here.
Code: Select all
<div id="container">
        <div id="side">
                <!-- Advert -->
            </div>
            <div id="content">
                <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase=            "http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0" width="550"                                                                                                                             height="495">
                  <param name="movie" value="flash/flashsofar.swf" />
                  <embed src="flash/flashsofar.swf" width="550" height="495"></embed>
                </object>
            </div>

            <div id="lower">
                <!-- Advert -->
            </div>

            <div class="clearing"></div>
            <div id="footer">
                <ul>

                    <li><a href="#">Home</a></li>
                    <li><a href="#">About Us</a></li>

Re: Layout problem

Wouldn't that be bad for SEO, though?

Re: Layout problem

I guess that depends on what content you put in it.

If you are orried about SEO, then you will have to put it back where it was and position it with absolute positioning.

Re: Layout problem

Why cant they just have a 'float:left', 'float:right' and 'float:center'? It would make life soooo much easier
