tabless layout
Hi All,
Up till now all of my web site layouts have been done using tables, I use tables as I find it easy to create/design the layout and then alter it however I want. I really want to be able to create/design my layouts with just css as I know that is the future of web design. Can any of you guys give me a list of top tutorial sites for tabless layout's? Cheerz Wayne |

Re: tabless layout
The future is now
Hm, I slowly coded bits of my layouts to CSS and learnt how to position them. All you have to learn is how to position, google CSS float tutorial and see if you can find a 3 column layout. After that you be fine providing you know the basics of CSS. If not... then go learn CSS. www.tizag.com is quite good. |

Re: tabless layout
it's fun, it's retro. Back to the good ol days of browser compadability issues. Do one thing for IE, doesn't work in Firefox of Netscape. Make it work in those, IE doesn't like it. Ah, the good ol days!

Re: tabless layout
You should just get rid of Dreamweaver and use notepad.
Notepad ++ is amazing. |

There's nothing wrong with using DW ... as long as you stick to code view

Re: tabless layout
Lchad - I own dreamweaver yea, altho I do prefer to hand code the tutorial would be useful as once I have done the tutorial I should be able to see how it is coded so that I could then attempt to hand code it.
Tutorial links would be great Wayne |

Re: tabless layout
It colors the code and you can close div tags so you can edit bits easier, instead of viewing a page full of code. If you do have notepad they just get ++. It's free.
