Have just designed this shield, what do you people think?

personally don't like the gradient in the background and it looks very...old fashioned! For customers wanting cutting edge modern designs I don't think tis very suitable.

I'd say the blue, the background is less busy. :-)

Moved to Graphics forum.

The roundness of the shield is very jagged.

The emblem in the middle is not very clear. It looks like you too a REALLY small image and made it bigger which in turn doesn't make the image look very good.

I'm not big on emblems but the ones I've seen looked goo just black and white.

Your lines look very coarse and could do with some tightening up. Also the internal pictures seem very unclear and doesn't do your work any justice. If you look up the left hand side of the internal picture on both images, it looks like you have attached a cloud or blur effect to it. It looks very wierd, in my opinion.

What I meant was the outline of the shield and the emblem in black like Brian Veloso's Avalonstar logo

nah I don't like that...it looks like its lost all of its quality in compression!

Have a look at the link Karrine pointed you to. Good clean logo there in greyscale and really works.

Sorry not a fan of any of those designs...

i like that one best so far.

still need to make the lines more curved and less jagged - looks unprofessional atm.

Agree with 1840 ... it's better than the others but still looks amateurish IMO

Ok, I still prefer the middle one, I think because of Scottish theme which you loose in the others, (I'm Scottish). I know what you guys are saying.

What program are you using to make this? You need to anti alias or something like that....
Or use a vector program that will eliminate the jagged edges. The quality is too low to use.
