personal site 4 my friend

I decided to make a b-day present for my friend and made a site for him.
I really want to do my best but I'm not a designer.
Can you please give me some advices?

Looks ok, a link would be better cuz I can't say anything about the coding without code. I don't really like the purple links and the header image maybe a bit smaller??

I wanted something different from usual head size and i thought if it's bigger then usual then i achieved my goal. No?

I have not so many photos of my friend so there was not a big choice, but do you think some other color instead of purple will look better with these pictures? I've chosen purple coz hi shirt on the central picture is purple

I disagree, I really like it. I'm quite fond of big visual headers though. We have nice big screens these days and I don't have a problem with a little extra scrolling if the overall experience is good. I don't mind the purple, it's quite a nice shade, the only thing that gets me that it stands out so much. The design is quite muted in colour so maybe something a bit more subtle would work better or you could always introduce more colour to the actual header or to other parts of the site. What I like to do is pick one or two colours and then just use different shades of those colours so maybe some lighter shades of purple could make an appearance somewhere?

The main element is the header and I like it. The images are good and work well together the only thing that doesn't sit right with me is the two photos in the middle. They are nice but the other parts are really cool and the middle bit doesn't seem to fit. There is something slightly futuristic about the header and also quite minimalistic so perhaps some scan lines across the bottom or something similar. They are preety easy to apply to an image and can look really cool.

I like it, it would be a really nice birthday present and very thoughtful. Wish someone would make me a site for my birthday... I might make myself a site for my birthday. Hmm...

oh! i'm so thankful, really nice tips))
I will try to add shades of purple and see what we get.
This boy is a singer and he's not like 'candy pop' or something, his image is more mature and classical, so i decided to make the colors gray and the design - minimalistic.
I really love these scan lines!! Looks gorgeous! But i feel like it can be a separate idea which can be used as a separate nice thing. I need to think more..cannot clearly say my thoughts right now.

About these to pictures in the middle..You know I first put them in the right bottom part of the site, but then I put it in the header
