Forcing a vertical scrollbar

What is the best way of forcing a vertical scrollbar in all browsers. I have this new site that has some short pages and because it is centered it creates a problem in FF. IE always has space for the vertical scrollbar. Or do you just offset the margin to compensate?? Any thoughts on my stupidity, yes please!

I don't see any problems in FF.

Re: Forcing a vertical scrollbar

I know what you mean.. Your mainpage in FF shows fine, but doesn't show a vertical scrollbar. When you click on "clients" the whole content moves a little to the left, because it has to make room for the scrollbar.

This never bothered me, so I sdon't have a solution.. Maybe someone else does with my explaination.. ?

Oh I get it now...

I don't know how to fix that either or if it's possible.

Maybe make some of the pages longer with more content? ... nah!

Re: Forcing a vertical scrollbar

A simple bit of CSS will force a scrollbar:

HTML: Select all
html {
    height: 100%;
    margin-bottom: 0.1px;
}

Re: Forcing a vertical scrollbar

Thanks Ronnybob I knew someone would have a clever answer. I was going to just add more content like Lchad suggested.

Re: Forcing a vertical scrollbar

I'd go for more content and let the scrollbars take care of themselves.
