Helpcreating an item
I took a job from my boss, and I really don't know how I will go about doing this. I am very new to flash.
All I know is that I need something like this: Destinations map I need something like this but for the whole world, where we can put a mouse over the top of a point and see what routes are established. This is for a game, where users create an airline and their own routes. ANy helpful insight will be very much appreciated! |

Re: Helpcreating an item
This is just a bunch of buttons with movie clips inside it athat animate the flight paths from what it looks like.
Basics of Movieclips are here: http://www.webworksite.com/movieclips.shtml Also check out the sticky post on top to get other resources to learn flash. This isn't too complicated though, so you should be able to pick it up fairly quickly.

Re: Helpcreating an item
haha, my head started hurting from trying to figure this one out...It looked so complicated...
It has Action script in there too correct? Unless the creator animated each line...which is tedious... |

Re: Helpcreating an item
Bear in mind that I know nothing about flash here. So on hover some kind of animation would play, yeah?
Is this sort of thing complicated? I want to be able to do some flash stuff but it's actionscript. I just can't do it. Would this sort of thing have lots of AS in it or just a bit? Pete. |

Re: Helpcreating an item
Na, you can accomplish all of this with little to no action script at all. Just a bunch of buttons and on the over state plays a MC with something like that in it.
ActionScript might make it less tedious but it is not needed. Cheers, Scott
