The basic layout could work but at the moment it looks very flat, boring and of an amateur standard. Firstly, you need to fill the space where the girl is with something, at the moment there is far too much empty space there. Next thing I'd say is that the whole website is very flat, try looking for some tutorials on how to make glass style icons or something. The menu could do with some contrasting colours and the text needs to be made easier to read. The gradients also look bad, you should read up on some colour application, I normally start with a tone and then slightly darken or lighten it when I use gradients, most other gradient styles look tacky.
