Developer needed

Ok so I just have a kinda simple site I need creating. What I really want is a pay and download site with also the ability for people to register and upload their own stuff like text and pictures. I'm not really bothered about the look or graphics cos I can help with that. I need it to be reliable and for someone reliable to work well with me. Anyone interested please pm me or leave a note below.

Thanks

Is this actually a job?

I mean, is there real pay involved?

What type of payment process would you like to use? (Paypal? Worldpay?)

What type of files will users be paying to download?

What platform do you want this to run on?

Would you prefer an ASP or PHP developer?

What type of database should the users information be stored in?

I was hoping to discuss the full details with anyone whos actually interested in the project. I'm a beginner to web design and although I'm progressing pretty quick it will be a long time before I can do this. Therefore to get this up and running I'm going to have to find someone to be able to do it for me. I can offer reasonable pay for anyone interested. Although I'm not too fussy and not gonna say its gotta be like this it does need to look pleasant and friendly and any database that would allow a large number of simultaneous users which I've been told would be better in php.

Details of the site

Ok I would like people to be able to upload images and text to describe the image. This would also need a categorised database so we can search on particular categories and see the image and text. Included in this would be the ability to upload different resolutions of the image .. say low-med-hi. You should be able to upload all 3 for the same image and description. Payment method would be paypal. Should be a piece of cake!

In order to find the right person you must specify what type of hosting you have got at least! (An ASP person wont be able to do the work if your hosting doesnt support ASP!!)

Yeah, and as far as the traffic goes, PHP and ASP have virtually nothing to do with it. It is the type of database used, so ASP isn't any better/worse for doing this. It's like Smokie said, it depends on your hosting. You running on Windows or Linux/unix?

umm.. guess this project is either too difficult or too boring as i thought there would be a few people interested. Looks like i may have to end up doing it my self. I've asked around a few places but no one seems interested. Typically how much do you think this project is worth? Any ideas on the minimum and maximum i should pay? Is this project quite complicated?
