Actionscript 3.0

All,

An interesting read to give yuo a very brief overview of what Actionscript 3.0 is all about.

Quite interesting...

http://www.adobe.com/newsletters/edg...rackingid=ZCEF

I am excited at the prospect of actionscript working 30 TIMES faster and the changes to movie clips...

It's going to take some time to get used to, that is certain...but I challange all of you to look at it with an open mind and learn as much as you can about it! If you do, YOU'LL be the pros on actionscript.

The good news also, is for anyone coming into Flash right now, you are basically on the same level playing field as all of us. Things are completely different now with Flash 9, so you know just as much as the rest of us.

Enjoy, and thoughts?

Re: Actionscript 3.0

Yes I have some thoughts. If you are interested in learning ActionScript 3.0, cartoonsmart.com has a great tutorial on learning the basics. Here is the link.

http://www.cartoonsmart.com/april.html

This link will expire very soon, so you better buy the tutorial now while it is cheap. Justin is great, and he did a two hour video on the basics, so have fun learning!

Re: Actionscript 3.0

hehehe...I am sure you will enjoy. AS3 has some really minor changes to the code to make everyones life easier. It just sticks that they changed the keyboard shortcuts on me, as I don't really wanna learn them again...hehehe.

Re: Actionscript 3.0

Neither, it is just a great site and Justin does a great job explaining it. I advertise lots of sites...like site5.com, cartoonsmart.com, learnflash.com, etc. But none of them pay me money, maybe I should look into that...lol.

But no joke, I know Justin...he does a great job with his tutorials and is quite good at drawing in flash.
