Hi ya, Dayna, you have come to the right place.
I am not sure I understand exactly what this means

Do you need to know how to format it? Or do you need to know what other pages you need? We could need to know what type of site you are designing, personal or business or informational.

I would also suggest you might want to post in the Cafe.

Re: Hiya all :O)

Do you know HTLM at all?! Do you care to know?

There a difference really. If you really want to learn how to do with by learning HTML and CSS then... you might want to start here:

Getting started with HTML
More Advanced Features
http://www.htmldog.com/guides/
Bulletproof HTML: 37 Steps to Perfect Markup

And the mother of all resources ... straight from the horses' mouth
HTML 4.01 Specification

If you just want a site and don't really care if it looks like crap in some browser then just grab a copy of Dreamweaver, get in Design view and start filling that page

Re: Getting started with a site?!

Well ... ok ... start by grabbing some exampled layouts in the Resources for learning how to use CSS for layout (in the "how" section) there and I'll put moojoo's link right now before starts whoring around again

http://www.newguyinennis.com/samples/layouts/

Some with 2 columns, some with 3. Depends what you're looking for.

You need to learn HTML (check the links I gave you above) and some CSS. HTMLDog has great tutorials.

A quick rundown of that HTML VS CSS is:

HTML is the bones, it's the structure of your house for example. The roof, the walls, and the floor.

CSS is presention. So ... the decoration in your house. The paint, the drapes, flowers, whatever

well ... that should get you started. Check the stickies in the various sections of the forums, the Beginners' Resources section and the articles. Lots of good info in all of those.
