Photoshop CS - Text is way too small, even at 1296 pt.

Text even on a 390x90(px) canvas size is *EXTREMELY* small, even at 1296 points.

I've tried switching from pixel to points, and of the such. No fix.

I have absolutely no clue how this happened, as it was working fine for a while.

I dont think photoshop version will have anything to do with it, but, maybe.

Any help is much appreciated.

*edit* Text is not small just on that canvas size, it's on ANY canvas size, it's still microscopic.

Using a specific font or any font?

I have had this problem before and I finally just re-installed the software. It fixed though.

So reinstallation is the fix?



I'm hesitant on reinstallation at this moment. Let me see if I can backup my important settings.

Anyone know of a fix/any other way other than reinstallation?

I had the same problem with PS 5.5 and the only fix I found for that is to reinstall.

Bad news, I know. Sorry.

I'm no Photoshop guru, but the first place I'd check is your resolution setting under Image > Image Size. It should be 72 dpi.

Actually, I don't know WHY I didn't tell you about this before (duh), but you can hit Shift+Ctrl+Alt when PS is loading and delete the pref settings. PS will rebuild the settings and it 'should' fix the problem. If it doesn't, reboot and launch PS again.

That works for me.
