Hi again

I now know about basic html and css. I downloaded some templates and had been playing with those. However, I am a lil stuck with images. I'm not sure yet how to put images on one of my web page. How are images put on web pages efficiently? Do I need to use tables to display images?

Can someone please show me how to code for putting images on a webpage. More specifically, I'm not sure how to set the number of rows / columns.
