Web domain registering servce

Hi, im in the UK (if that affects anything) and i want to register my domain name. I would like a .com suffix. Can anyone recommend a good company/provider to go with?

I dont need any web hosting or space, just need to register my website. Hopefully under £10 for a .com site (10 for 2-3 yrs, that possible???)

Cheers

**Edit - i should have said i would like the cheapest option, but also want some reliability. if that makes sense

****Edit - i have been recommended namecheap.com, godaddy.com and stargate.com - anyone used these guys? Will there be a problem with me paying for the registering with a US site? I have never used my DD/CC for any abroad transactoins..will i pay an ad

I live in the UK and pay for a US hosting service ( http://www.mediatemple.net/ ). Paying by Mastercard is pretty much the only way. Doesn't cost you any extra.
If all you want is the domain hosted, then I wouldn't say that you need much. Go for one of the cheapest as there won't be much of a quality issue involved.

Well it really depends on your bank and how they do things... but I wouldn't expect there to be a charge.

If you're not sure then ask your bank.

You can forward the domain to another, for example you can get bigfish.com and forward it to littlefish.com so when someone views bigfish, they go to littlefish.

DNS Management allows you to control exactly what happens with your domain. You can host it anywhere you want by changing the DNS records. So you can have the domain with this company, but the hosting with another... or even host yourself.

You get their Control Panel which will allow you to add email/ftp users, view statistics about your site, etc.

I believe this is where you go to littlefish.com and still remain at littlefish.com but see content from bigfish.com.

You can change the contact details that appear in the records for your domain (which everyone can access).

I have over 20 domains (.co.uk and .com) with 1and1 (.co.uk) and my hosting, email etc etc etc. They are very good, have not had any problems at all and are the cheapest I have found for SQL Server hosting.

I have been with them for over 12 months and am very happy with their support and service.

looks like i'm gona have to skip on 1&1 - they dont let british (UK) users sign up on their american site for the $6 .com offer.

Instead, they want to make you sign up on their UK site for £10.45 (inc VAT! wow, thanks).

Has/can another site be recommended?

I have found, http://www.fxdomains.com/cheap-domai...gistration.htm

anygood?

I just looked at a site and it looks great. www.onedollarhost.net is the link. I'm looking for people that use their reseller account and see if it is any good.
