How do I create a shadow around my page?

I've been playing around with web design the past few years and I'm wanting to take it more seriously now. I use Macromedia Dreamweaver MX and once I figured out how to use it, I find it works fairly well, most of the time. I also use AAA Logo to do my custom graphics.

My question is this. I notice on a lot of web sites, the main page, usually centered in the middle of the screen and over top of a background image, there will be a shadow that is around all 4 edges making it stand out. How do you do this?

A quick and simple example of this is found at http:\\www.carolinarockingchair.com - notice how the white box in the middle containing all the info has a nice shadow surrounding it?

Hope to hear from you experts soon!
