local computer

Hi all i am wanting to set up on my computer the phpnuke files. this is so i can mess about and get the style i want, can any1 help me with which files i need to download to use my phpnuke on local computer

If you're on a Mac, then you'll need to enable PHP. A simple Google search will turn up instructions on that. If you're on a PC, I've heard that Xampp is good for a server. Perhaps someone who uses it could help out a little.

I use Xampp. So if you have questions, please ask...but only after to have gone to the Xampp site and downloaded and installed the program.

Hi i am on windows vista home premium. so far im download the mysql 5 i belive it is and a copy of php. is it jus the server program i need to install which u mentioned above

rite then folks. i got it installed on the computer. now i am needing were to save the files i create(my website) as i was expecting to see the root folder in there t stick my files in(my website

You save the files for your website in the htdocs folder. Make sure xampp is turned on before you try to access the files.
