problem connecting to mysql from dreamweaver
Hi all, I'm a newbie to php. i've installed wamp5 and all seem to be running well. when i set up a site in dreamweaver in the wwwroot folder and make the local host connection everything is fine; i can preview php files no probs. But when i try to connect to mysql database it prompts me for a password which i don't seem to remember setting up. i have created a mysql database with some tables in it, but i can't seem to connect. it would make sense that i do need a password, but where do i set this up?

Hello,
From what I remember the default username is 'admin' and there is no password, you leave that bit blank. But you should really set a new root password. Jewelz

and on wamp5 the username is root

Sorry Made a mistake, simonb is right. The unsername is: root and the password is left blank.
