How about a Tutorials section?
So ... I know we have a Planning - Articles and Tutorials that's never used. But I think that's because it might be confusing to people? And me!
I think a Tutorials section in the New to Web Design kinda like that sub-forum (Beginners Resources), the Tutorials forums would be a sub-forum to New to Web Design. In there, it would strictly be tutorials. We could have different categories likes CSS, HTML, PHP, Planning Eh? |

Re: How about a Tutorials section?
That would be nice. Two things though: need the tutorials necessarily be for beiginners - a lot of program specific stuff is very advanced and someone who is not new to web design may not think to look in the beginners section, also would the 'New to Web Design' section be ok for tutorials on graphic stuff (illustrator, photoshop etc.)? Just that people might expect that sort of stuff to be elsewhere???
Great idea though, if i could get back just a few of the many hours that I have spent fighting with illustrator or javascript I would be a happy man. Pete. Last edited by pa007; Mar 16th, 2007 at 18:33. Reason: foolishness |

Re: How about a Tutorials section?
Well ... I would think that there could be a graphics section to that ... just like HTML, CSS and PHP and so on
Come to think of it ... maybe it would fit better as a section under Planning your website. That, there could be beginner stuff as well as more advance. Maybe it should be approved by a mod first and give a rating of beginner, intermediate, advance. Just throwing ideas here |

Re: How about a Tutorials section?
Like the idea, the point was raised that old boys (not beginners before I start something I can't finish, Jacob!!!) would not look in 'New to Web Design'. You could post it in that catagory then hyper it into the HTML, CSS, and Graphic pages, etc. Then they are available what ever thread you are following.
