HTML & Flash - help
Hey, just wondering if I could get some help on a website im trying to make for someone, using basically just flash and dreamweaver. Im ok in flash, but pretty useless with html and everything, so this problem im having might be fixable..lets hope.
Basically, I made the design in photoshop, sliced it, then made the middle section in to an actual content box, but instead of writing in there or using a CSS, I decided id make the pages in flash then simply insert them in to the box. so I linked the buttons each to a seperate .html page, which would contain simply the flash file..Now, this wouldve been fine, but I didn't count on a default border being present for every page, causing the flash file not to fit properly (ie: The right and bottom sides being cut off). Now, I could always resize the flash files to make them fit..but this would cause many problems. I was wondering, are there any other ways to go about what im trying to achieve, even if it's a completely different method? Thanks guys, if this sounds confusing ill be happy to elaborate on what I actually want. I don't suppose its possible to link a button to a table on another page? Thanks, and sorry if that doesn't make sense, im in a bit of a rush Here are some screenshots of the problem im facing: 17689361zu1.jpg When brought up on main page: 79242622ua8.jpg Last edited by karinne; Mar 12th, 2007 at 11:26. Re: HTML & Flash - help
Sorry, it's not up yet..Ill show you the code im using to get external pages inside the content box:
<td colspan="6" background="images/Content.jpg"><iframe src="home.html" name="content" width="447" height="297" scrolling="no"align="middle" frameborder="0" border="0"></iframe></td> So, say when I click the 'browse' button, it'll change the "<iframe src=" to: "<iframe src=browse.html"...etc. and the browse.html file will be loaded in to that box. Now, it's hard to explain my problem without looking at those above pictures, even still I guess it's hard. Basically, the flash file has the same dimensions as the content box, but the .html pages ive got them loaded in to don't let the flash files sit right up in the top left corner, rather, it gives them a little 'border', which of course shows up on the main page and causes the flash file to be cut off. I know it's hard to understand, maybe looking at those pictures would help. Thanks |
