Help with Flash needed

Hi

I've been looking at tutorials that give an effect of snow, or falling leaves, using actionscript. I'm trying to use this kind of thing in one scene only but when the user returns to scene 1 the snow is still falling. I guess there's a simple way of turning this off but I can't work it out.

I'd also like to keep the snow fall to one layer but it always seems to be on top. Any ideas about that as well?

For the snow on top issue, drag the layer its on and drag it below a different layer.

As for it to stop, Just set the movie clip to stop after a certain amount of loops.

How about via ActionScript?

Thanks for the advice. I can't recall which layer I tried this on so will give that a go.
I think the Actionscript approach to stopping the snow falling is the one I'll look into.
