Blonde moment...well, blonde hour

Just thought I'd share this with you. Earlier today I was creating a nice side navigation thingy. However, I came accross a problem: I couldn't get the following css to work.

       text-indent: -9999px;
       overflow: hidden;
       }

After an hour. Yes, a whole hour. I realised that text-indent will only apply to block level elements. All I needed was display:block; I felt like a proper retard. An hour wasted and all I needed were two words.

Shame on me.

You can't use text-indent on an anchor. Use:

overflow: hidden; is really unnecessary, although it doesn't hurt anything.

It took me two hours of screaming frustration before I realized that the reason my Notepad files wouldn't show up as html was that they needed to be saved as "All files".
