Talking Safari Browser Does Not Read My CSS (IE DOES)

I am new to web design. I bought a pre-made template-it uses both html and css. I know I put it up correctly because the site comes up beautifully on internet explorer AND netscae navigator. However, when I checked my web-site on SaFARI browser (primarily mac browser) it only shoes the html with no css coding (therefore it looks awful).

Anyone explain why and possibly how to fix it>?

Thanks in Advance!!!

A link to your site would be helpful or some code that we can look at.

Yes. A link would be best. Safari is my main browser and it's most likely not its problem. You might have something in your code blocking Safari from reading the CSS.

if your viewing in <IE6 then thats probly your problem. the template you bought is using old technology and since safari its always being updated. So that could be one problem.

No, that would not cause the problem so far as I understand the nature of the problem.

Re: Safari Browser Does Not Read My CSS (IE DOES)

Im embarrassed for you to see my site! :-) The URL is: www.pokerbythebay.com. Im just learning how to put together web-sites and picked any random pre made template and am trying to figure out general concepts before I actually start to build my site. Anyway- I would love any feedback!

Please Note:Im extremely new to web design (html, css, everything) so laymen's terms OR a precise explanation or process as to how to get it to read on safari would be awesome. Right now I am a at web design.

First of all change </BODY> and </HTML> to </body> and </html>. Just picky xhtml.

Try
HTML: Select all
<link href="/css/style.css" rel="StyleSheet" type="text/css" media="screen" />
I haven't looked at it in Safari. But this is what I would change first.
