Attempt at a logo

Hi,

I'm trying to come up with a logo for a portfolio site and have been playing around with a butterfly based design. I wanted something relatively distinctive but also quite recognisable so I went with a simple line based thing.

A gif of the image is attached.

Firstly I'd like to know what you think of the design (shape etc.). Any improvements I could make. Should I scrap it altogether and start over.

Another thing is the colours. I've been really struggling with what to go with. I like the colours that I have here as colours but I'm not sure if they are right for this design.

By the way it does need some refinement as goes it's shape - it's not quite perfect thickness but this is just a rough draft as it were.

Hey Pete! I like the colors!! They will be very subtle together.
Very soothing... So if that's the desire you are looking for then you should go with it!
The design is nice... Is that the letter "B"?

It is yeah, B for butterfly. I want to try and get hold of butterfly.com or something very similar. I might struggle but we'll see.

Thanks, I do want something softish - it is a butterfly after all. I really did want it to be a simple as possible without it being just a line or something.

Who's site did you steal it from Ryan? hahahahahahaha

I spent weeks hunting for that logo and tuning it so it was perfect (in my eyes). I really must take a picture of my business card and post it some day. They're foiled with black and silver on both sides.

Sounds really nice! I'm sure it's sharp!!
