March is almost over, already, so it's time for website of the month, again.
Don't get too excited now!
First up is
Plexus Studios, at first a fairly dull looking site with some interesting surprises. Firstly, there's actually some pretty nice artwork and secondly, the clock by the weird skeleton actually displays the correct time - A nice little artistic feature. My only main criticism would be that the site appears too small and doesn't make enough of what it has. All the portfolio images are small and there's isn't really enough variety to the site. Or do you
disagree?
Something different to sink your teeth into, is
ISO50, a strangely sterile-sounding site, which is almost completly un-sterile in execution. The minimalist look can appear odd at first, but the textures, music and wonderful photos give the site an incredible feel. Although I really can't stand the navigation mouseover sound...
Jaybirch suggested his site,
Advance Flash, a source for After Effect movies directed at Flash developers. A good idea, with pleasant visuals and of course a worthwhile product.
Next, is the design feast that is
WebAgent007. Clearly a site developed by talent in both the design and programming sense, it's a site that deserves respect, but is it over the top?
Lastly,
Yayashin, a graphic designer's portfolio. The site is beautiful with well-animated graphics and some nice touches, but has a bizarre and confusing navigational system - or do you
disagree?
