Webforumz not netscape friendly! :(

I tried to do a bold formatting automatically when using Netscape and it didn't work. ( u know the one on the top where you press those fancybuttons and they will automatically input the html tags ? )

I've found it only now because I rarely use bold tags and the only time I did, it was in internet explorer. It was rather frustrating because I couldn't get the bold working. When I scrolled down, it was on the bottom of the page, not around the selected txt!

A good idea would be to recode it. Perhaps you could send an email to snitz... I know a great deal of people are experiencing this problem

Yes, It doesn't work in Opera either... It adds the tags to the end of the text you have written and cannot wrap those tags at all. Which is quite useless.

sorry, but this isn't a bug, opera and netscape do not support the insert feature.

What can I say!

Mozilla is the same way. I usually just type them myself or click the button early then enter my text between the codes.

annoying, but I'm not a big formatting person, so I haven't found it to be a big deal.

Of course there's always *other* ways to accent your text here.

The insert feature?? tell me more

I thought Mozilla now supports rich-text formatting? http://devedge.netscape.com/viewsource/2003/midas/01/

I admit I've never worked with richtext editing / input anyhow. But is it possible to change to real-time formatting? i.e. words inside the bold tags appear bold immediately, and not only after you post the reply/topic?

Or maybe I'm just a very very confused person

I dont think we'll have to wait too long for all major browsers to support rich text editing... until then, we're stuck!

Well Opera certainly doesn't support this yet, at least not in the same way that Mozilla does. You must also remember that IE is the most commonly used browser and, let's face it, Microsoft isn't going to drum up support for this overnight.

Ok... I've done some more mods.....

Can anyone confirm if netscape is working?
Is opera working?
Does opera and netscape insert smilies at the cursor?

Put the cursor in the middle of some text... do smilies go to right place? highlight some text... click bold, working?

Full testing is required. Does anyone got firebird?

The INSERT does not work here, in Mozilla and Netscape! ( Do note that mozilla =netscape )

The INSERT works under the Microsoft Internet Dominator though

This must be out of topic, but I just realised the quick reply here! and the flood control thingie that limits you to one post per 60 seconds!!!
