[solved] Major Redesign Needed

Hey All, we need a major redesign. What does everybody think! Lets do it. Even if we don't have a bunch of awesome graphics people here yet...we can do better then what we have, and then redo it when we double in size..

What do you mean redesign??? How is everyone going to pitch in and help redesign this site? I dont understand how we can do that. Tell me what you want me to do and I will do the best I can, remember I can't do anything involving programming. But I can draw graphics better than that dot thing up there. Let me know what you want and I will see what I can do.

Thanks, I was a poet that didnt know ****.

The stars rhyme with poet and is spelled more like S H I *, fill in the blank for a chance for me to redesign your website with dots!!!

I really like the dotty thing up top. No need whatsoever for a re-design. I like the colour scheme.

Nice offer, kulegamr, and your site, http://www.haeglodesigns.com/, definately shows off your skillz, but I say stick with the dots.

Although I like the logo, I do feel the rest of the site needs some design love and attention...

No offense guys. I love this site, I just feel thirsty everytime I log on. If it wasn't so desert looking it would keep me from drinking so much water, but hey we all need the water anyways dont we. Lol, well I like this site, I know that is a first, I said I like something, but I do. EXCEPT for that dot thing up there. My skills are beginner, but I will see if I can't come up with something to go up there... I know, I could take pictures and break them into dots, yeah that would look awesome!!!!

lol, awesome!!! Well at the moment I am kind of busy. If you want to see a sample of my new site here it is. This is just a sample. I am trying to do something totally new, that no one has done before, believe me I have searched everywhere and not found anything like it. The scene at the beginning is not finished yet, I am gong to be making a ton of changes to the beginning! Tell me what you think if you would like, I wouldn't mind hearing comments.

I could probably do some very nice graphic tricks with the top part.... probably use the current logo with some nice effects round it, or maybe pull it into 3D just for a little edge.

The forums certainly isn't bad as it is, but I do think it needs something.

I love our current logo. It's simple and effective and Kulegamr, your banner is, to say the least, lacking in originality and effect. It may stand alone, but it doesn't stand with the site and the current logo does.

Actually I'm tempted to use some clever flash but maybe that's just me. A cool series of animations when you first hit the site, but a cookie set so it remains static on visits afterwards.

Or maybe just some nice grapics?
I dunno.

Regardless, these are all just ideas.

I think the site design is fine. Its supposed to be a forum not the bloody Mona Lisa. I like the colours and the logo is fine. I think you have too much time on your hands!

I'm with Nick; whatever you do, no flash!

I like the idea (where ever I saw it) of a "good links" section for each forum. People could submit suggestions for review to the moderators.

Jeesh, didn't expect everyone to go off in a tiraid. I think that it just needs a makeover. Nothing drastic. I like the logo, think it should stay, but it needs something.

Some CSS work would be nice as well, I have seen some good forums that use MOUSEOVER background colors to higlight, and other things to make it feel more interactive.

Just some thoughts. Sirkent your our resident artist. What can we come up with?
