Question about flash 9 and AS 3
I was trying out the Flash 9 with Actionscript 3, and when I tried to put some actionscript to a movieclip I created I got this error:
"WARNING: ActionScript 3.0 does not support actions on button or MovieClip instances. All scripts on object instances will be ignored." Did I do something wrong or can I really not add actionscript to MovieClips? Say I want to make it so that I can move a object around with the arrows keys on my keyboard, how can I do that if I can't add actionscript to the movieclip?

Not really sure as I have not messed with ActionScript 3 yet. But make sure that it is a Movie clip.

Yeah, I've checked, and it's a movieclip... But if it is so that you can't add actionscript to MovieClip, how can I do those things then?

I am sure there has to be a way...just something you have not noticed yet...keep up posted on updates...and I will start to play around with ActionScript 3, and I will let you know if I find anything out.
