Cool 3D sites from erain

http://www.swift3d.com/extreme/
The 3D animation and music of this site is cool although it can be quite irritating to some people. Looks like this was created at least 2-4 years ago ( when 3D flash was much harder to implement )... Its actually a showcase managed by the electric rain... Another good showcase site of theirs is the illumination ( http://www.swift3d.com/illuminations/ )

Hmmm, more recently people have achieved much more impressive results using 3dMax, such as http://www.billybussey.com/.

Swift 3D is nowhere near as powerful but doesn't need a PHD to operate!!

Swift 3d is so far behind... Those 3d graphics were so far behind, my 1992 pc had a program on it that did the same thing that does... It was called wrap art, but I think they just made a newer version of it. Ohh well, it isn't that bad, but why would you go from nice styling 2d graphics, to a big jumble of 3d graphics that look like somene stepped on them? whatever your thing is, go for it.

My initial reaction to everyones comments before the site was that everyone seemed to be too hard. I have changed my mind. I agree with everyone else thus far. The site was probably cutting edge back 3-4 years ago, but today, I have seen much better.

But, this isn't a critique forum. It is a voting forum. This is just my oppinion.

It's true to say that the styles used here are old, but for erain the major leap was in bringing these graphics to vector format (and therefore) making this usable on the internet. Graphics made in more powerful 3d programs may look the dogs' but they take ages to load.

I know the animation is not very sophiscated compared to others nowadays because I think its no longer updated by erain.. anyway, think of it, it was created quite some time ago ...
