How Do I Transfer My Homemade Pages To My Website

Hi to all,
My problem is i have a website and am trying to design it without having to use the websitebuilder provided as i do not think the templates are what i need. I have microsoft office with frontpage and have been told to use this. When i create my pages using either word or publisher i have been told to save as html. I couldn't understand the person i spoke to on the telephone and didn't really get any further. I want to create my pages and transfer them to my already existing website. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thankyou
Lee

Umm.....ok....
Put them on the server?
Yes, when you put something up, make sure the home page has index.html, default.html, or home.html....Preferably the index.html...
Your very hard to understand...Could you make any clearer?

Hi, sorry i didn't explain proper. I'm new to building a website. I am create my own pages using microsoft office. I don't know how to get these pages i create onto my existing website. my website provider told me to type my web address starting with ftp://www... and then copy and paste my index.html there but it doesn't let me do that.
Thankyou for the reply.

Oh...Uploading.
Yeah, get this.
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/fil...4&big_mirror=0
After you install that,
in the address bar thing, Enter ftp:// www.(sitename).(extension) and in the next two areas, your user name and password for the ftp server.

And what is your existing site? Link please

It's an FTP program that allows you to connect to your site files, and it's simple because it's pretty much drag and drop to upload files to your website.

I use SmartFTP with no problems. Similar to filezilla. Free download as well.
