transparency in flash?

Is there support for transparency in flash? I'm not hoping for much... just on/off transparency...

I think with IE there is... But I dont know about others... I heard something about it somewhere...

Hi. Sorry to have bothered yall. I found the answer to my question at http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...ents/wmode.htm . It works purrrfectly my favorite browser netscape 7 and microsoft's ie... great!

oops! ie 5.0 doesn't render it correctly... in fact, it doesn't even display the div tag i put my flash movie in correctly! it resized it from 700x270 to around half that size ( looks like a small squary box now )!

It doesn't always work properly in netscape either - Depending on how you have this setup. Could you show an example where it does?

I don't think it works in opera at all.... and yes, it doesn't work in IE5.

I'm making it display in a popup window instead. the flash file is just an imported fireworks and contains no effects, animation or other stuff...

It works in Netscape 7 but not IE 5... Can u plz try it on ie 5.5 and 6 and tell me the results? I can't install either because if I do so, my ie 5 will be overwritten/upgraded and ie 5.0 is hard to get...
