Help with Images in Flash

Can someone help?? For some reason when I Import images into flash (high quality photographs) they loose alot of quality, does anyoen know how to keep the "photoshoped" look I saved the Jpegs as?

Mike

PS- when I open the images in imageviewer or any other application they look perfect, Flash is the only app that seems to be altering them.

Check to make sure your publish settings are pretty high. If you only want to do it on a few images, check the properties of the images in your library and set them independantly of the rest.

Let me know if you have trouble finding that option.

The best thing to do is, as CTifer said, check the properties dialog for your image in the Library (press F11). Here you can use imported JPEG data, or change the value and also allow or dissalow smoothing.

Also, if you're using your images with other elements in flash, try aligning the image to the nearest rounded pixel in the properties dialog box.

One more possible suggestion is to start with the best quality image possible. For this, I almost exclusively use PNGs. Transparency is the best attribute of those - besides the fact that I don't believe PNG is a lossy format like JPEG is.
