I don't usually read computer books and have jump-started into many programs like Dreamweaver and Photoimpact ( by the way, photoimpact is manufactured by ulead www.ulead.com ). Have been thinking of going into photoshop 'cause its the de facto graphics designing software. Although I've jumpstarted into easy programs like dreamweaver, photoimpact, flash.... Im ??: how you can go into programming languages like C++ without having some sort of a reference book... maybe you were just born with the talent
